Spring? Really?!?!?!
Ok ... still hunkering down for snow storms. One is expected tomorrow and I'm still not sure I believe it but my husband just told me that it is 25 degrees outside so .... bring it on! Summer has to come at some point and I'm sure we'll be complaining about the heat then.
Things have been developing here and I'm finding lots of inspiration. I call this little beauty 'Musically Inclined' because I see musical notes when I look at it .... except for the heart in the exterior detailing, I don't know how that ties in other than this was a labor of love.
I'm also getting ready for an unveiling "type" of show in July at a sweet Boutique in Millville, New Jersey ... The Lotus Trading Company. Trying to decide what type of teasers I'll share in the meantime ... pics, or no pics. Descriptions ..... ? I'm just not sure but I do know that it will kill me not to show the bags as soon as they are "birthed." I'm trying to find the perfect word to describe how they make me feel - great to touch, explore, hold, share, keep close - like a companion ... they are different, unique and almost alive with personality. Is there a word for all that ... ?
I'll keep you posted! Thanks for checking in! A few are always on display at Bogart's Bookstore & Cafe ....

Another New Year ...
So, it's 2011 ... Just a tweek in my schedule and finally ... I was able to go back to 2010 and finish those "stalled" projects that we all have tucked away somewhere. It felt good to attack them but I confess that it was a stressful start.
It took a while to stop looking at them as failures instead of attempts to learn something new and try different techniques.
I learned a lot from the projects but most importantly to just keep plugging away. Because, sometimes you have to wait for the answers and set projects aside.
I guess I just got ahead of myself ...

September, 2010
Regarding craft, this year has been more about commitment and dedication than any other ... if you still have the passion, hang on.
Those who care will still be there to appreciate your work and hope that you don't give up. So, don't give up!
But, you need to be wise about purchasing supplies and inventory. Plan wisely and use your down time to strategize and market wisely. You won't regret it because you will maintain an outlet for your passion - which truly is the priority!!!
